835 Central Jakartans Participated in the First Stage of Baca Jakarta 2025

Central jakarta Library and Archives (Pusip) Sub-agency recorded 835 residents from eight sub-districts participated in the first stage of Baca Jakarta 2025.

"They will be given a booklet that must be filled in as a proof of completing the reading challenge,"

This activity features a reading theme, 'My Favorite Figure', with a 14-day reading period from Monday (2/24) to Sunday (3/9).

Central Jakarta Pusip Sub-agency Head, Wahyu Prabowo explained that Baca Jakarta is a routine program held twice a year. In this activity, participants are encouraged to read books consecutively for 14 days.

"They will be given a booklet that must be filled in as a proof of completing the reading challenge," he added, Tuesday (2/25).

Later, the participants who consistently read and complete the challenge the fastest will get a goodie bag and be eligible for a door prize at Literacy Concert in April 2025.

Central Jakarta Pusip Sub-agency's Library Section Head, Noor Muchyadi added, participants were divided into two categories of children aged 0-18 and adults aged 18 and above.

"Last week, we have socialized the program online to 283 participants," he stated.
